Global Infrastructure: Launching EU-Native Inference & GDPR Compliance

To support our rapid international growth, bem has officially launched EU-native infrastructure. Enterprise customers can now deploy in EU regions for full GDPR compliance, true data sovereignty, and reduced latency, ensuring your data stays exactly where your operations need it to be.

When we started bem, the mission was simple: turn unstructured chaos into clean workflows. To free humanity's most valuable asset, people, from tedious, manual work that computers should have always done in the first place. We focused on the "how": building a deterministic engine that prioritized accuracy over generative creativity.

But as our volume has scaled, the "where" has become just as critical as the "how."

Today, a significant portion of our API traffic is international. Our customers aren't just building chatbots; they are running global logistics chains, managing cross-border financial reconciliation, and processing sensitive industrial data across multiple jurisdictions. For these operations, data sovereignty isn’t a feature request. It’s a regulatory requirement.

To support this rapid international growth, we are officially launching our EU-native infrastructure.

The Native Inference Backbone

Because bem can't be just a wrapper around public APIs, we control our own constellation of models, training infrastructure, and production reliability stack. We are building a native inference backbone that allows us to dictate exactly where compute happens.

Starting today, enterprise customers can pin their workflows to our new EU region. This means:

  1. Physical Residency: Your data is ingested, processed, and transformed on GPU clusters physically located within the European Union.
  2. Zero-Leakage: Data does not transit through US servers for processing. It stays within the EU boundary from upload to JSON output.
  3. GDPR Compliance: This infrastructure was built to meet the strictest standards of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), ensuring you can automate critical workflows without compromising on compliance.

Why This Matters (Beyond Compliance)

While compliance is the driver, performance is the benefit.

Global supply chains are time-sensitive. By moving our inference nodes closer to where the data originates, whether that’s a logistics hub in Rotterdam or a fintech center in London, we reduce latency and increase throughput for high-volume pipelines.

We are seeing AI transition from "experimental" to "operational." Operational AI requires industrial-grade infrastructure. It needs to be boring, reliable, and legally sound.

This expansion is the first step in a larger effort to bring our compute to where your operations actually live.

Availability EU-native processing is available immediately for Enterprise customers. If you need to migrate existing pipelines to the EU region, reach out to the team.
